I am not and have never been someone who devotes much time to the time-honored tradition of playing video games. Growing up, we weren’t really a video game family—the furthest we got was a number of Sims extension packs; a short-lived fling with a Wii/Wii Fit situation; and a Guitar Hero phase sometime in the mid-2000s.
As for the name of your town, I'm sure you know the only way to change is to completely restart your game. But frankly I really like the name bozoville, I think it might end up growing on you eventually lol.
Weeds will grow back as soon as enough of the ones your island started with have been plucked. I'm assuming you can't get to the upper levels or across any rivers since you just started, but you can probably see that there are more there already. If you have actually plucked every single weed across your entire island already, or just don't want to wait, I'd recommend completing nook miles goals (accessible via your nookphone) to rack up enough miles to go on a mystery island tour (tickets available at the little atm/kiosk in nooks tent). A mystery island tour will take you to a random, uninhabited island that will most likely have weeds to pluck and rocks to hit.
As for hitting rocks, a problem I've seen a few new players have is thinking that they need to eat a fruit before doing so, DON'T! This will completely destroy the rock and only yield one resource. Hitting the rocks repeatedly and quickly with an axe or shovel with no fruit can yield up to eight resources if done correctly. I'd recommend using the technique featured in this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/nintendo/comments/foxd34/if_youre_new_to_ac_or_forgot_about_this_tip_on/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share to obtain the max outcome every time. The main reason you're not able to get all right resources every time is due to being pushed back after hitting, these holes will prevent that.
Always, always, ALWAYS, shake trees from the front while holding a net. Your character will automatically turn to face the wasps nest and it will only take a swift press of the a button to prevent becoming mangled. Shaking from the front is key because at any other angle your character will not be able catch the wasps (unless maybe you shake it from behind, I've never tried it myself but it occurs to me it might work for the same reason). You should also make sure to shake from the front with a net equipped before chopping a tree for wood since wasps nest can fall while doing that as well. Also, I'd honestly recommend just saving up all your wasps nests as they don't sell for much anyway and your villagers might become ill and ask you for some medicine. It should also be noted, however, that medicine is available for purchase in most, if not all of the variants of Timmy and Tommy's shops. As an additional tip, wasps will not appear in fruit trees (at least as far as I've observed)
As for online, you'll unfortunately have to simply join the club of unsatisfied and frustrated people that have had similar experiences. I personally lost about 40,000 bells worth of rare fish and about two hours of my life to online when it promptly crashed right as I was about to leave. We can really only hope for it to be updated and improved in the future, but seeing as this is Nintendo, I don't expect much on that front.
